Temat: Airbag lamp  

The light from the airbag light is on . I have replaced some bulbs in the dashboard and the problem appeared.How can I solve this problem by deleting airbag error?I have iawscan 2 but do not work on airbag . Only engine . Interface is vagkkl with 4 position switch . I put the switch on airbag position, but it did not work . What can I do?The car is Palio Weekend 1242 ,8 valve ,73HP,year 2000.

For connecting I can use socket from engine compartment or it is an other socket special for airbag in other place ?

Try to use MES (MultiEcuScan) and put switch to AIRBAG position. If airbag control on dashboards are on, you are have a fault in your electric instlation. In most cases this is caused by corrosion on electrical contacts. If still fails, try to use other (borrow from someone) VAGKKL or use ELM327 (should works also and without switches).

I see in MES Palio Restyling '01 1.2 8V - but 2001 year.

Nope. There is only one OBD2 socket. You should diagnose ECU/AirBag/ABS by this socket.

For my ECU IAW 18F I need multiecuscan 1.9 . You can help me with MES 1.9 ?You or someone else !Thanks !

You can download newest free version strict from MES site. Free version are limited (eg. time usage) but you can diagnose.

Can I clear airbag error ?

How will this remove.

Now I know where the airbag diagnostic socket.It is located on the right side of the plastic housing that contains lighter. It is to the front, opposite the handbrake lever.There exists a cover after removing 2 screws and cover are airbag diagnostic socket .At the first opportunity I will try deleting the error airbag. I'll keep in touch
