I want to shut DPF and EGR off from my Alfa 159 1.9JTDm model 2006 because it causes me many engine light troubles.
I was almost ready to read the ecu file with galetto 1260 clone (from China ) send it to a person in germany who many trust and wait for the modified ecu file from him (after I pay him of course) and then reload it to my ecu through galetto again. All this is so risky however.
Recently I changed my glow plugs for preheating diesel fuel and engine light went off. Do you think it might be the problem for not clearing DPF well (it demands hot diesel I suppose) or I still need to modify ecu and remove DPF completely?
